In 2018, Professor Luo Kaiyu's team began to carry out research on laser directed energy deposition manufacturing and mobile laser repair with Nanjing Huirui Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., aiming at the three major problems of deformation suppression, overall forming and on-site repair in the process of laser deposition manufacturing and repair of large and complex components, created a laser deposition coupling chemical effect forming technology system, independently developed the world's first environmentally adaptable large-scale hydropower equipment in-situ laser deposition repair equipment, and applied the core technology and equipment to Shanghai Aerospace, Hebei Ruizhao Laser, Shandong Energy Group and other units have strongly supported the Three Gorges Project, CZ series launch vehicles, Hualong No. 1 improved and other major national projects and the development of major heavy weapons, and have achieved significant economic and social benefits.
